REGARDING EDUCATION PROGRAM

In the 2020-2021 school year, Edison Schools are open for enrollment in Standard English Program and American Bilingual Program from Grade 1 to 11. The two systems differ in the number of students per class, the English language program and tuition:
  • In the Standard English Program, the maximum number of students is 35 students per class. There are 10 English lessons per week with 50% of the time taught by foreign teachers. The English as a Second Language program (ESL) is designed according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), aiming to help students to achieve IELTS 6.5.
  • In the American Bilingual Program, the maximum number of students per class is 28 students. There are 16 English lessons per week with 63% of the time taught by foreign teachers. In this program, in addition to the ESL Program according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), students also study English as a Native Language (ENL), American Math Program (American Maths) and Science Program in English (English for Science). These are programs built and developed on the basis of the Common American Program Framework (Common Core), aiming at the goal that students reach the language proficiency and competency to attend prestigious international or national universities.

After each school year, Students and Parents can register to move from Standard English Program to American Bilingual Program and vice versa based on academic ability and the needs of students and families.

REGARDING ADMISSIONS

  1. Assessing Student's Registration form (as per the Edison Schools form).
  2. Interviewing students for student’s capabilities, personality, needs, and academic goals.
  3. Interviewing parent(s) for family educational goals and orientations.
  4. Diagnostic assessments
  • Grade 1:
    • Assessment on cognitive ability, thinking skills, memorization, language skills, motor skills, social interactional skills, … through a series of interactive activitities.
  • Grade 2-11: Interviews for student’s characteristics, personality, interests, aspirations and Written assessment on 3 subjects: Mathematics, Vietnamese (Literature) and English.
    • Standard English Program: English assessment (written only) for reference.
    • American Bilingual Program: English assessment (both writing and speaking).
Parents may enroll students in Edison Schools from now on through the following methods:
  • Register online using the form HERE or call the enrollment hotline 0968 808 386/0868 672 386 (Ext. 1) and transfer the registration fee (2,000,000 VND) to the school account.
  • Register directly at school and pay the registration fee in cash or by card at school.
Edison Schools begin accepting applications for enrollment in the 2021-2022 school year from January 2021.
After receiving the registration and enrollment fees, the school will send the families details of the tests.

REGARDING FEES & PREFERENTIAL POLICIES

Edison Schools would like to announce the tuition discount policy for residents inside and outside Ecopark according to the first 5-year and the second 5-year preferential policies as below:

The school has preferential policies for families with many children attending the school:
  • A 10% discount on tuition for a second or a subsequent child attending the school in the same school year; applied for the school year 2020-2021.
  • A 10% discount on tuition for a second or a subsequent child attending the school in the same school year; applied for the school year 2020-2021.
Additionally, the school also applies the following principles:
  • Each student can be offered only one preferential policy (the highest).
  • The maximum total discount (cumulative) for a student's tuition does not exceed 20% of the tuition.
  • Ecopark residents have resident cards and permanent residences at Ecopark.
  • For homeowners, it is determined by the sale contract and resident cards.
  • For those who are tenants, it is determined by the purchase agreement (of the lessor), the lease and the resident cards.
  • For households that have both children of the homeowners and children of tenants registering for enrollment, the school will give priority to the children of the homeowners. The tenants must work with the homeowners to agree on resident benefits.
  • 20% tuition discount program for Ecopark residents is only applied semesterly. Before each semester, the school will work with Ecopark to verify resident information.
